ParentSquare Frequently Asked Questions
Can’t find what you need? Utilize the search feature at the top of the page to look up key words.
-
No, you do not need an email address. You can receive messages using just a mobile phone number via text message.
How Phone-Only Messaging Works
- Text Messages: You receive school updates and alerts directly as text messages on your cell phone.
- Phone Calls: Urgent alerts and school emergencies come through as direct voice calls.
- App Access: You can download the mobile app on iOS or Android and log in using your phone number instead of an email.
Setting Up a Phone-Only Account
- Give your cell phone number to your school office.
- The school enters your phone number into the system instead of an email address.
- Log in at the ParentSquare Sign-In Page or via the mobile app using your phone number
-
When you sign in, look for “Action Required: Confirm Your Account Information.” This shows up automatically if your info needs confirming.
What to do:
- Confirm or correct your email and phone. If they’re right, confirm them — we’ll send a code (good for 10 minutes) for you to enter. If something’s wrong, choose “Edit,” fix it, and confirm the same way.
- Confirm your children. Select “Confirm” for each child listed.
- Confirm your name and school. Select “Yes, this is me.”
Not ready yet? Choose “Skip for now.” You’ll be asked again next time you sign in, and you’ll still get notifications in the meantime.
If you correct your email or phone, your school will update their records. The change may show in your account right away, or by the next day.
-
If you have more than one ParentSquare account (for example, because your name, email, or phone number didn’t match), you can combine them into one.
What to do:
- Log in to your main ParentSquare account.
- Click your name in the upper right and select “Manage Account.”
- Click “Combine with another account.”
- If other accounts match your verified email or phone number, click “Combine Accounts.”
- If the account you want doesn’t show up, click “Combine Another Account” and sign in with that account.
- Choose the name you want to use, then click “Combine Accounts.”
Now you’ll see all your children in one account. You can log in using any of your email addresses or phone numbers.
-
You can’t combine a staff account with a parent account, but you can switch between them easily.
What to do:
- Log in to either your staff or parent account.
- Click your name in the top right to see your accounts.
- Under “Switch Account,” click “+Add another account.”
- Log in to your other account.
- Now you can switch anytime – just click your name and choose the account you want.
-
If you’re missing a child, class, or school, it may be because:
- Your contact info doesn’t match what your school has on file.
- You have more than one ParentSquare account with different contact info.
What to do:
- First, try confirming your account information—see how to clicking on this link.
- Still missing something? Try combining your accounts.
- If that doesn’t fix it, contact your school. Click the question mark icon in the top right corner, then select “Contact School.”
-
We welcome family involvement! Parents can volunteer in classrooms, join the PTA, participate in family nights, or attend school events. Your involvement strengthens our school community and supports your child's learning experience.
