Acadia Parish School System will be closed on Friday, January 24, 2025 for all students and personnel except for school principals, custodians, Central Office Supervisors, and maintenance staff. While this decision was not made lightly, the safety of our students, their families, and our employees is prioritized. The additional day will allow for roads conditions to improve, as well as allow the district to continue to assess and repair damages experienced during this unprecedented weather event. We also recognize that some water system issues still are not fully resolved throughout the parish.
We ask that the selected personnel report from 11:00 am until 2:00 pm, or until released by the Superintendent.
