☑️ Learning to do

☑️ Doing to learn

☑️ Earning to live

☑️ Living to serve

RHS FFA is a prime example of what it means to live out the FFA motto.

Yesterday, our students competed in Franklinton, Louisiana and we could talk about the results “until the cows come home.” Among their many accomplishments, they claimed the title of State Champion in Dairy Cattle Evaluation!

Members of the state winning team: Emma K.G., Olivia C., Chloe B. & Leah T.

Out of a possible 1800 points between the 4 of them, they were only 150 shy of a perfect score!

The second RHS team consisted of Layna S., Kobe S., Jenyth A., & Whitney K. They ranked 5th in the state! Keagan A. competed as the RHS alternate. All of these members earned a perfect score on the herd management portion of the competition which is regarded as one of the most complex portions of the entire event.

These FFA Members achieved 5 of the top 10 highest point individual scores at the competition; with 1st high point individual (Emma K.G.), 2nd highest individual (Olivia C.), 3rd highest individual (Jenyth A.), 5th highest individual (Leah T.), & 6th highest individual (Chloe B.) Emma K.G. Olivia C.  have qualified to represent Louisiana at the National Contest in Indianapolis in the fall at the National FFA Convention.

Congratulations to our students and our FFA sponsors, who coached and advised them, on this tremendous achievement! #WolfPrideNeverDies
