 Parents, Guardians and Students:

We want to welcome you to the start of the 2023-24 school year.  IHS Students that did not attend registration will receive their schedule on the first day of school.  ID's will be taken at a later date.  We have a few reminders about those who will be bringing your students to and from school each day. PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING, THERE ARE NO EXCEPTIONS!!

Parents who are picking up or dropping off students must pick up or drop off your child behind the school by the band room. In the afternoon, the pickup line begins there as well.

 New Student Registration

  • Bring Copies of birth certificate, social security cart and updated immunization record as well as proof of residency in the Iota school district.  These documents are required.
  • You should also bring a copy of your last report card. 
  • Fees of $30 will also be collected, once you are approved and registered.

Pay fees.  ($30)

  • I. D.ā€™s-$10, Technology -$15, and Class Fee-$5
  • Please be prepared to pay by cash or check! We are not set up for payments by credit/debit cards yet.
  • Make checks payable to Iota High School.

Parking Tags

  • We will begin selling parking permits on Aug. 2nd and Aug.3rd  to SENIORS.
  • Beginning August 7th, parking permits will be available for juniors. 
    • You can come by the office to pick up and pay for your parking form.
    • Your parent/guardian must sign the form before we can issue your tag.

School approved T-shirts

Shirts are on sale for purchase online from the T-shirt Shop in Jennings.  We will have shirts on display for you to view at registration.  There is a choice for long or short sleeves as well.  You can view the t-shirts, as well as order them online at tshirtshopjennings@gmail.com .

NEW change this year, Mr. Wallace has approved wearing maroon, gold, black, gray or white spirit shirts. 

Breakfast/Lunch

Students at Acadia Parish public schools will receive breakfast and lunch FREE OF CHARGE due to the Community Eligibility Program.

Dress Code Policy ā€“ Note Changes!

  • Please read over Dress Code Policy and use discretion when purchasing your childā€™s uniforms.
  • Students will be asked to call home if they are wearing the improper uniform!!
  • Improper includes length of shorts for boys and girls!
  • NO HOODIES WILL BE ALLOWED this year!!!!!
  • STUDENTS MAY WEAR A CREW NECK SWEATER OR A ZIP UP JACKET, AS LONG AS THERE IS NO HOOD ON THE JACKET.

Communication

We will continue to text message you, instead of the automated phone call out, with any important information that you need to be made aware of.

Please make sure the school has an updated list of call numbers that will be used.
