Watch for our Acadia Parish STEM Bus (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) rolling its way to our schools.
The first stop was Crowley Kindergarten, where we focused on Art. We were able to integrate STEM activities and art. Activities included viewing street art with Virtual Reality goggles, painting with Sphero robots, mixing colors, and pixel art using circuitry with the Makey-Makey. Plans are to build capacity and stem knowledge of instructional teams so that we are able to facilitate school visits.
Our bus will keep rolling to the schools this school year as time permits, but we are planning regular visits to each school in the 2024-25 school year, with a district-wide focus on Geometry.
